French publication L’Équipe has assessed the performance of Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Renato Marin in the 35th round of Ligue 1 against Brest (1-0). Marin started in place of Russian goalkeeper Matvey Safonov, who was included in the squad but remained on the bench.

“Italian, again in the starting lineup to give Safonov a rest, made a good impression. He wasn’t heavily tested, but did everything required: confidently came off his line before Doumbia after a backheel pass (23rd minute), saved a point-blank shot from Le Gen (29th), and pulled off a brilliant save from Manetti’s effort in the 84th minute. He also commanded the area well in the incident involving Din Ebimbe, though offside was called early in the move (33rd),” wrote L’Équipe.

PSG tops the Ligue 1 table with 73 points, leading Lens by six points, with two matches remaining in the season.
